Personality – The Meaning Behind Words

Ever been in a situation where words that are spoken are unclear, perhaps you heard them, but the words used have definitive meanings. What about the words that have multiple meanings, how can anyone be sure of the words spoken, when the words used have multiple meanings. You may say tone, which itself has multiple meanings, I rather say personality.

the quality or state of being a person
the condition or fact of relating to a particular person; specifically : the condition of referring directly to or being aimed disparagingly or hostilely at an individual
the complex of characteristics that distinguishes an individual or a nation or group; especially : the totality of an individual’s behavioral and emotional characteristics
distinction or excellence of personal and social traits; also : a person having such quality
vocal or musical sound of a specific quality; especially : musical sound with respect to timbre and manner of expression
a sound of definite pitch and vibration
accent or inflection expressive of a mood or emotion
the pitch of a word often used to express differences of meaning
a particular pitch or change of pitch constituting an element in the intonation of a phrase or sentence
style or manner of expression in speaking or writing
(1) : color quality or value (2) : a tint or shade of color
the effect in painting of light and shade together with color
the state of a living body or of any of its organs or parts in which the functions are healthy and performed with due vigor
healthy elasticity : resiliency

Both terms are rather expansive, but in terms of personality, I like how Merriam Webster shortened it to a simple phrase, “the set of emotional qualities, ways of behaving, etc., that makes a person different from other people.” Looking over the definitions for Tone, you can see how much it relates to either music, health, or attitude. This simplification is what I am utilizing in this post. Primarily since we are referring to attitude, speaking and even writing forms, we would be focusing on the 3rd and 6th definition.

I am always told I have hidden, or double messages when I talk about either my problems, my feelings, or just general every day tasks. This may be true because my personality is to avoid conflict, so would say something that doesn’t cause an argument.

Double Meaning
noun: a word or phrase that is open to more than one interpretation.
Hidden Message
information that is not immediately noticeable, and that must be discovered or uncovered and interpreted before it can be known.

I take pride in my causal use of avoidance, because it keeps people in a slightly better mood around me, although if people start learning my personality, eventually they will be able to interpret my messages, and the result would then be happiness for me, and those around.

Personality is the door to a persons inner most thoughts, it allows messages to be expressed in numerous ways. the door can be cracked, to let out a little expression, or it could be wide open, revealing all emotion contained inside. The ability to open or see inside can be impacted by anyone’s relationship, good or bad, the door is almost always open to some degree. I will never say that the door is shut, because I have never come across a person who can completely hide emotions. I wont doubt it either, there is always a sign that emotion is felt.

Those of you that used the word tone, may have been referring to this emotion that is seen, however, some people, and I consider myself one of these people, have the ability to suppress these emotions to make it difficult to give a meaning to the words being said. I have also been told that my statements that do have a clear definition, have been interpreted as double messages, So I believe that the key to interpreting double messages, or finding hidden messages, would be to know or at least have an idea of about a persons personality.

This knowledge has the power to guide and assist anyone, once you know a persons personality, you will know what they can do, want to do, and how you can help them, either by deciphering messages, or adding to the cryptography of the message. Only those closest to you will ever know what is meant when words come from your mouth.

Personality is constructed, so no one has the same exact personality, there may be similar traits, and core values, but there is always a difference. it may only be one trait, but that trait can easily change a person. How well do you know personality, do you have friends you can read without a problem, maybe you had that moment of confusion with double messages, what ever the case maybe, it goes back to personality.

Procrastination – A Requirement of Life

I am hoping to be more activate and getting more topics done, as a result I have this wonderful topic of procrastination I want to cover. Although it may not be evident, I view it as a requirement in life, everyone procrastinates, whether they agree with me or not.

noun. the act or habit of procrastinating, or putting off or delaying, especially something requiring immediate attention:
verb. to defer action; delay:
verb. to put off till another day or time; defer; delay.

Look ma, I did it again, I love making use of definitions they clear up a lot of opinion based terminology. Although this are definitions, I still like how wikipedia phrased its definition.

Procrastination is the practice of carrying out less urgent tasks in preference to more urgent ones, or doing more pleasurable things in place of less pleasurable ones, and thus putting off impending tasks to a later time, sometimes to the “last minute” before a deadline.

So procrastination is another way we define priorities in our lives, I admit I put off school work, I admit I put off doing topics, but why do we as humans need to procrastinate you ask. Does human desire really have that much control over our lives? In terms of survival, all these tasks I procrastinate on may be the same priority, but if you look at pleasure, maybe I have more fun playing games, then doing school work, maybe I dont think I have the right mindset to post, thinking is work, work is thinking, why cant thinking be pleasurable. Pleasure goes beyond this topic, but can be expanded and explained in more detail, but for the sake of this post, pleasure is fun, fun, aside from a potential dictionary loop, is what makes us happy to continue doing tasks.

Great so procrastination is the result of needing pleasure and happiness. The requirement of life goes back to Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs. As each level is satisfied we move to the next, procrastination, assuming our basic needs of survival are taken care successfully puts us at level 3, in this case the Social Level. The desire to be loved, and socialize with the public, through these posts,  even school work would fit here as it is socialization with other people. Masloq's Pryamid As I said these tasks all have a similar priority but a need to procrastinate them for more desirable aspects such as game playing, may result in an achievement which would satisfy a few things at level for for esteem, making us happier and feel more obligated to do those procrastinated tasks. For example, although I procrastinated some of my school, I am happier now, and feel more motivated to finish the school work, so I can get my degree, which then satisfies some of my level 4 (esteem) needs. Utilizing this theory, I can safely say that procrastination may be a requirement of life to determine which tasks have that satisfying esteem qualification. This also puts a slight dent on Maslow’s theory that social has to be completed before we move to esteem, as procrastination allows us to accomplish both level 3 and level 4 needs at the same time. I do agree procrastination has the biggest impact at level 3, simply because when are focus is on survival, such as eating and determining are safety in our own home, generally they will always have a higher priority. Although procrastination has an impact every time priorities are similar as we still may put food off for a drink of water, or we may feel a need to put plastic on windows before we turn on the heat.

So I ask you, can you truly stop procrastination? Although my room mates and myself have had multiple conferences on this issue, however the problem continues and although we come up with ideas how how to solve it, there is always some weird thing in nature that makes it continue. If you have actually stopped procrastination, I would love to hear about it, however if you agree with me that for some reason or another it is required, post your thoughts below as well, maybe we can make this theory a fact.

Bottled Emotions

The irony of this topic has perplexed me, and I am happy to say that even though we have been wanting to talk about this topic for months, the time has come to ensure a complete somewhat biased opinion on Bottling emotions. Although it may not look good that we took forever to get to this topic, I feel that the wait has given me the experience I need to accurately state my opinion.

Everyone has a limit, and surprisingly that includes me, before I moved out it was not clear how well my emotions were hidden, and what affect they have on my surroundings, but once I moved out and have lived out with a couple of roommates, I have considered my self to pop a bit, maybe not explode, but I have definitely popped. The limit is merely an estimation of how much can be contained. I feel that it is always a bad idea to bottle all emotions up, both negative and positive results can happen. I will admit that sometimes holding back is beneficial, when you already have emotions held back it becomes increasingly difficult to hold more back.

The end result of holding an overwhelming amount of emotions can cause the bottle to pop, or even explode with negative emotions spilling out, wanting to be known. I have been away from my parents home for a year, and can only say that I have popped, or exploded Once, maybe twice. The result of this was a massive desire to tell everyone what I wanted done and when to do it, basically at this explosive point that was immediately.

I take pride in my ability to maintain control during these undesirable situations, however no amount of control can prevent a negative aura from filling the area once the bottle explodes. The amount of control affects how much can be bottled up, and once filled control may help restrict how fast the information comes out, but once its out that is when everyone is staring at you with that dumbfounded look that makes them think twice.

When I have moved out, several agreements were made, one to keep our friendship regardless of what happens, and to remain open and prevent our bottles from filling up. This has effectively allowed our living situation to maintain a level of calmness and relaxation that keeps us all in a good mood. Our explosions have been reduced to once or twice each, sure we all have control, but that is what has allowed us to hold conferences to let out emotions in a safe, relaxing, and sometimes laughable environment.

Personality has a major role in determining the size of the bottle, those with shy personalities have a larger bottle by nature because they want to stay quite, others who are more sociable, may have a shorter bottle since they talk a lot more. Attitude is another factor, those with a positive nature may find themselves with larger bottles because they try to handle negative situations with by finding the good things, while those with a negative nature may find them selves with shorter bottles, because everything is flawed and fill the bottle up one way or another. Control in my opinion can then be the lid that allows information to come out, or go in, with the right control, you can find the right time, safe place, to relieve the stress and emotion that is bottled up, or prevent a negative situation from getting worse by solving the problem as it comes so it doesn’t need to be bottled up.

Today I find myself bottling up less, being more open, and finding that balance between when to bottle emotions, and when to release them. This has caused me to be in a more happier mood, as mentioned by several people, and to understand and stop things from getting worse. So I ask my readers, have you noticed an impact on your life from bottled emotions, have you made changes to live a happier and more enjoyable life?

Alternate Dimensions

Last night was a debate spanning multiple topics. I have talked with Karateka in the past, but last night we got into one of our many two hour debates, sometimes they last long, other times we just cover one or two topics. Although this debate spanned multiple topics, I am only going to focus on one part of the debate, to leave room for expansion.

The debate started with Time, and lead to alternate dimensions. There are many interpretations of the existing of one or more dimensions, and I tend to go with multiple dimensions, more so than just one. The connection to these dimensions is not going to be a fact, but an opinion, this opinion may have scientific answers that may explain most if it, but at the same time, it all boils down to an individuals experience.

The first connection is reflective surfaces, mirrors, water, etcetera. This connection opens the possibility that your not actually looking at yourself, but that of another you in another dimension. Some people have multiple experiences of staring themselves in a mirror too long, but at the same time, if it is another dimension that could explain how shattering a mirror can bring you bad luck. When you take order and shatter it into chaos, it has dire conflicts. As a result of the shatter you are now looking at multiple reflections of yourself, which could be yourself in another dimension each time. The bad luck comes to play because now the one dimension is shattered into multiple dimensions, forming multiple possibilities of your actions and outcomes.

The next connection is perception, and although I have another post planned for specifics on the paranormal abilities, I specifically want to talk about Double Vision, although this leads to health concerns, and eventually a person wears glasses. The concept I want to pose, is that double vision experience, where you are looking at the same person in two different (although only slightly), locations. If you consider alternate dimensions, then you could say that one of the doubles is actually another person in another dimension. Some people who experience this occurrence, may have noted that the second vision was doing something slightly different, or accepted the bad vision notion and assumed that since it was blurred together, it was hard to say if it was really different.

A few of you may remember my Fringe connection several months back, although I didn’t want to express the whole story line at the time, in hopes of not spoiling any of the fun that series has brought me. The prime concept is resolving around an alternate dimension, and some of the connections they draw in how each dimension can affect the other, is fascinating. So as this topic comes to an end during the debate I had last night, I posed the possibility that everything was connected, and that is how I roll, every debate that spans multiple topics, ends in a simliar style conclusion that all the topics are connected. The dimensions one can see with double vision, can easily be the same dimension, or an entirely new dimension than the one the mirror is or causes when shattered.

The Perfect Parent – “My Child would never …”

How often do you hear parents claim that their child would never do something. Well in my high school years and even when I was play with friends I heard it all the time. This is one of those phrases that annoys me because it prevents me from informing, tattling, what ever floats your boat. I dont necessarily need to define that word. Although I would like to think I am an honest person, that does nothing wrong, I have been known to get into trouble, because I believe no one is perfect. When someone is doing something I believe is wrong, I normally try to inform their parents, teachers, or which ever authoritative figure is around. Most of the time I run into these parents that dont believe a single word I say, and start rattling off how good their child is, and how that child would never do such a thing. Personally I try to stay out of business, however, when I the victim of bullying, or I am involved in an incident, I know what happened, I know what I saw, at least look into the issue.

I applaud Law Enforcement for this, because they have to constantly break through these barriers and solve crimes on a daily basis. I always kept to myself, and  when I know I am not involved I am mostly honest about what  I saw. Lying was always something that my family punished me the worst about. It didn’t matter what I did at that point, if I lied, it usually was 10 times worse. If I told the truth then I would still get punished but not as severely. This resulted in having Honesty as one of my most basic principles in life. I always hated the word never, because according to the definition it is something that hasn’t happened and will not happen. This term covers both the past and the future; However when combined with the term Would, which is past tense, contradicts the meaning of never, and insinuates that it focuses on the past only, which still proves that it although it hasn’t happened, it doesn’t mean it wont. So personally if you say would never, I am just going to laugh, if you say never, I will just wait until it happens, then I am going to call you a liar.

So even though no one is perfect, which includes parents, as if they were not already people, and you combine that with the past and future parts of the definition of never, and you have a liar. Since perfect parents would result in perfect children, further resulting them never doing anything wrong, that would finally prove that you didn’t lie. Therefore, the terrible twos would not exist, and this phrase would not be so annoying because it would for once be the truth.

In the end, no one is perfect, don’t use the word never with the word would, and dont just use the word never because you would honestly never really know if you would never do something in the future. If you are a perfect parent, then feel free to use this phrase, but all I ask is prove that you have been a perfect parent, with perfect children, that have not been in trouble in the past. Share your thoughts below and have a nice day.

Halloween Parental Influences.

For this Halloween post I have to admit it is going to be a little opinionated however what intellectual would I be if I choose to leave out facts both supporting and opposing my claims?  Lets get several facts out of the way first.   Halloween is deeply associated with candy, horror, and mysterious folklore.  In religious belief and throughout history Halloween was originally a celebration of sorts involving spirits and or deceased loved ones.   Which of course gave way to parties and fear of the unknown.

Now some of you may have the same question I gave myself, Why is Halloween associated with fear?  Good question, I have yet to find a factual piece of evidence that supports the celebration of Halloween instilling fears into others despite it’s associates with spiritual entities.   However from what I know about the more modernized Halloween celebration,  the holiday has hit some debatable grey areas, one area of which I would like to reflect on.

We associate  the feelings of fear and terror in regards to Halloween in both the past and present times.  As a generalization it is commonly known that fear of the unknown constantly lays dormant in the back of every humans conscious and subconscious  minds.  Much of this is of course is associated with spirits, monsters, demons, angels and even common everyday life situations.  Humans fear the unknown but there are few who embrace it. Few who are drawn to it, giving birth to many learning experiences and enlightenment because once we as humans understand what it is that makes us fearful often find that there is little to fear in the aftermath.

However there are those who spend their entire lives hiding, running, even parents shielding their kids, their teenagers away from their own fears, not giving them a chance to explore, discover, analyze, and contemplate what it truly means to be afraid and what it means to overcome those obstacles through deep understanding.

This bleeds into the opinionated portion of the topic at hand, Costumes.   Now as I have said before there is nothing in the Halloween celebration that says you must dress up as something fearful however since Halloween is without a doubt associated with the feelings of fear and terror based on the unknown of the past, present, and future.  I feel as tho it’s important to dress up as something scary during Halloween night. I’m speaking from the experiences of previous Halloween celebrations and as a Walmart associate working in the Halloween seasonal isle.

I’m sick and tired of seeing little girls who want to be princesses due to their moms refusing to let their kids embrace any kind of fear or understanding during the Halloween celebration because embracing fear is just another part of a learning process….when you have dozens upon dozens of little girls who don’t want anything to do with fear and are encouraged to want to be beautiful princesses all the time then I feel as tho it’s just another way for a parent or guardian to encourage their kids to shut off their minds whenever they are scared of someone or something.

I have found this to be more apparent in girls than I do in boys as boys are usually encouraged to dress up as something mysterious and or scary which leads to a sexist undertone which pisses me off to high hell due to the fact that many girls are again encouraged to dress as something beautiful for Halloween rather then embracing a fear by dressing up as someone or something scary or frightening like boys generally are encouraged to do so by their parents during the month of October.

Mystical Myths – Halloween Edition

Happy Halloween everyone, now we all know that Halloween is another name for All Hallows Eve, however, one thing that is common among beliefs is the magical and mystical qualities of the night. I would like to cover a few of these Mystical Myths, and then provide my opinion on the reality of each myth. Lets start of with the creatures of the night.

a corpse supposed, in European folklore, to leave its grave at night to drink the blood of the living by biting their necks with long pointed canine teeth.
a small bat that feeds on the blood of mammals or birds using its two sharp incisor teeth and anticoagulant saliva, found mainly in tropical America.
(in myth or fiction) a person who changes for periods of time into a wolf, typically when there is a full moon.
a woman thought to have evil magic powers. Witches are popularly depicted as wearing a black cloak and pointed hat, and flying on a broomstick.
an apparition of a dead person that is believed to appear or become manifest to the living, typically as a nebulous image.

Vampires: This is a common mystical figure in folklore but would it surprise you if I told you that the origins of this tale, came from a disease? Porphyria is a rare hereditary disease in which the blood pigment hemoglobin is abnormally metabolized. Porphyrins are excreted in the urine, which becomes dark; other symptoms include mental disturbances and extreme sensitivity of the skin to light. Could this be why Vampires cant be in the sunlight?

What about the other parts of the Vampire Tale, well I discovered that people who suffer from porphyria have the following symptoms: Gums recede, giving the appearance of fangs, skin bubbles and boils when exposed to sunlight, and the only known cure was injections of blood. The 5 most terrifying diseases that doctors cant explain by Elorm Kojo Ntumy, Welldone Quibranza on

But as far as the Blood sucking night dwelling creatures go, I personally do not have a belief that Vampires exist. This conclusion of course comes from my reasearch above, but also because I never actually seen any piles of ash where the sun fried a vampire.

Werewolves: I find werewolves an interesting story. According to the definition, a Werewolf is a person that changes into a wolf, although that seems like it would be a pretty cool thing, I find it irritating. Could you imagine being forced to change into a wolf, and than forced to change back. The definition only states it is a for periods of time, which doesn’t always have to be at night, or during a full moon, but the definition does state that it would typically be the full moon.

Now if this change was not forced upon said person, than I would love the idea to become an animal for a short time, and then on my own be able to change back into man. Just to be clear a Wolf is a wild carnivorous mammal of the dog family, living and hunting in packs. It is native to both Eurasia and North America, but has been widely exterminated. Knowing dogs have such a great sense of smell, it would be nice to be able to transform into a wolf to track down those bad guys, or even use the carnivorous instinct to just snatch a nice chuck of them.

Personally, I will continue to believe in this creature, as a simple follow up to my fellow author, on Masculinity, Men have a tendency to prove them selves to other men. Wolves fight for control in their pack, and I know late at night, I am not the only hearing howls. Not to mention the few wolf sightings in the city.

Witches: going from the mystical, to the magical, Witches are women depicted as wearing a black cloak and pointed hat, and flying on a broomstick. The male version of a witch is a Warlock, following the same concept as a witch, they practice witchcraft and magic. Although unlike the definition, I tend to want to believe in both Good and Bad witches/warlocks. I know it isn’t the Halloween spirit unless they can be evil and scare you to death with that damned black cat; However, entertain the idea that witches are real, who keeps them subdued, if they are supposed to be all magical. Following Elliot Hulsa and my Negativity post, there needs to be a balance.

I continue to believe that such magical creatures do exist, and the reason we don’t see them is because they do not practice in public. You are probably thinking I am crazy by now, but think back to the Salem Witch Trials, and tell me you would practice witchcraft where everyone will want to burn you at the stake. I would like to think, however, that there are more people like me and eventually with enough open minded people, we will surely see Witches surface once again, but instead be welcomed with open arms.

Ghosts: What a way to end a Halloween themed post, if not to discuss the potential existence of Ghosts. Ghosts have always been apart of Halloween, because originally it was considered the night when we are supposed to remember the departed. I am not going to argue semantics about whether people really see ghosts, but I know the feeling of being watched, and I have heard external voices that even now remain unknown. My mother claims to have seen ghosts, and personally I will continue to believe in the departed visiting us, and even making themselves visible.

In the End: This Halloween edition of Myths concludes with the fact that I don’t agree that Vampires exist, however, werewolves, witches, and ghosts all exist. I would like to hear your thoughts, and perhaps I will have another Mystical Myth edition filled with more myths that I either believe in, or I don’t.

24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year: Whats the Point

Alright, we all know that many support organizations like to boast about be available 24/7, and this is understandable. As you know this simply means 24 hours 7 days a week. Great so this company supposedly is available all the time. If this statement is to be held true, than what is the point of adding 365 to the abbreviation. 24/7/365 is said to mean 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. Although the abbreviation is easy to understand, and simply means that the organization is supposedly available all the time.

This redundancy seems to be pointless, because if 24/7 and 24/7/365 technically means available all the time, what is the point of having both? Now that I broke it down to the common meaning, what about the common use? I seem to have gathered that companies use 24/7 to mean that they are available every day of the week, except on certain holidays; However, I have seen 24/7/365 used to contradict 24/7 and mean that a company doesn’t take those certain holidays off. My only aggression toward this new form of availability, is regarding leap year. During leap years, there is actually 366 days in the year, so does that mean that this said company only gets one day off every 4 years?

I feel that if a company feels that they should allow holidays off, than they shouldn’t be using either 24/7 or 24/365,  since as we explained, they mean the same thing, with the exception 365 only allows one day off every 4 years. So if you are okay working all year long than why not just use the smaller abbreviation of 24/7, because this by default covers every day of the year, since every week will always have 7 days. In the end I will never understand why we go hours/days/day, instead of hours/days/weeks as it would be a smaller number anyway such as 24/7/52 since there is 52 weeks in a year. This only adds to the redundancy, so I stick to my position of using 24/7 because it means the same as the other options, meaning full availability, even if we have the misconception of holidays seems to be the difference in the usage of 24/7 and 24/7/365.

Endless Chain Of Abuse *Intellectual Rant*

Endless Chain Of Abuse

Why can’t more people, adults, children realize that the way they treat the kids impacts our future on so many different levels and its kinda been filling me with a lot of animosity towards parents and Mankind to be honest. Throughout history adults have abused their children one way or the other and as a lot of the abused know, not many of us come out on top realize its wrong and it is not the right to raise children that way weather its hitting or threatening or sexually abusing many shadow their parents when they get older and the endless chain begins over and over and over again for thousands of years even before Christ it is believed.

Most parents turn their household into a Monarchy or a Dictatorship and the kids usually rebel… ask yourself why is this?  Why do parents think they can both teach and develop a close bond with their kids by force and worse so not even correctly answering the smartest questions any human being on the face of this planet could ever ask anyone, Who, What, Where, Why, When? many parents regard this as smart mouthing or a.k.a MOUTHING OFF! -_- when what THEY DON’T KNOW IS THEY ARE TEACHING THEIR KIDS TO BE FUCKING RETARDS, AND THEIR GONNA GROW UP BEING AFRAID TO THINK FOR THEMSELVES!!!

Most parents abuse their kids in some way now adays, weather its emotional or physical or even playing favorites. Don’t believe me?  Then answer me this one question and really give me an educated response………..why are there vary few children who posses a true friendship with their mother or father or even both?

Childhood is a time for guiding!  Teen-hood is a time for giving options with limited boundaries with good enough reasoning!  Adulthood is when your child puts all what he or she has learned from you to practice in the real world.

Now, I am not a parent, not a father but an 18 year old and as foolish as I may come off to be sometimes be,  this is my theory on this issue at hand because it FILLS ME WITH GREAT RAGE THAT THAT MANKIND AND THIS WORLD, IS DAMNED.

Masculinity vs. Femininity In Language

So over a long period of time I’ve always wondered about the socially acceptable sexism that humanity identifies it’s cultures, religions, and even economic ventures,  however the topic that intrigues me the most today is the masculinity and femininity within language barriers.

I have found in my own personal encounters that most people I question regarding their choice of hard and soft language regarding males, females, even transients do not question why their language shifts considerably when talking to someone of the opposite sex.  Yet within that same breath, still claim to fully support male and female equality across the board.  Unfortunately as a result these people are drawn to a way of speaking, or writing within any language depending on a person or group of peoples majority gender yet still demand equality in it’s purest form.

The simple response is each language has masculine and feminine forms of vocabulary in order to maintain some sort of politeness and respect towards each gender.  Most males typically exchange words in a masculine type of way regardless of which language they speak.  The reason why, in it’s simplistic form is the fact that most males, regardless of origin of birth want to be viewed as a strong individual by other males.

However take notice within the confines of our own reality when I say most females also seek to be viewed with those same characteristics of strong individuals by other females by using a different approach.  Most females that I have encountered perceive strength to be associated with youth, knowledge, and maturity.  Where as most males I have encountered generally lean towards physical prowess, knowledge, and maturity.

So you may be asking yourself?  What does this have to do with masculine and feminine language barriers?  These characteristic that most of us strive for around the ages 4-11 bleed out in the way we speak to one another as they grow into adults.  The vocabulary may increase but the fluctuation of language barriers between males and females for most part typically stays the same.

Have you ever notice your sense of language change from sensitive to blunt and vice versa merely based on the gender you were communicating with?  Some of you may even say no,   for those who aren’t tied down language barriers I commend you however the proof lies within cultural and religious practices that are expected of us both in the past and this day in age.  which only makes it easier to fall victim to these language barriers and I”m not excluding myself in this phenomena.

All across the globe these examples are endless.  If a girl opts out of marriage completely she is considered a harlot in the eyes of religion.   If a boy does the same it is shrugged off completely in most cases.  If a boy wants to be a professional cross dresser, he will be shunned by many of his own gender in the acts of pursuing what makes him feel good about himself due to the fact that we were all tought that guys are supposed to be rough and rugged.  If a girl wanted to be rough and rugged and join the football team per say? She is harassed and told to quit.  Football is a guy sport.  If a boy wanted to become a ballerina per say?  He would be ridiculed by many from both genders in acts that he in most cases is participating in a girl’s sport.  These are but few of the cultural and religious sexist expectations that most of us are all plagued with in various points of our lives.

So take my words friends into consideration my friends.  Weather you succumb to the barriers of sexism or not.  They lay between the lines of what we perceive to be true strength, so I encourage myself and the rest of you to think deeper about sexism, masculinity and femininity in hopes to eliminate the barrier that plagues us all.

Thank you. Karateka.
